Seeking a place of refuge for the soul? Look no further than the College Park Church of Christ right here in Conroe, Texas. Don’t let the name fool you, this house of worship wasn’t always known as College Park. It began its journey back in 1993 as the Northeast Church of Christ, a beacon of faith established by Evangelist Ty Fleming and a devoted group of Christians. The congregation thrived, eventually ordaining Elders and Deacons. By 2001, they were deeply involved in planting another church, the Spring Creek Church of Christ. Fast forward to 2006, when progress, in the form of the Texas Department of Transportation, threatened to displace them. The expansion of FM 1314 meant the church building was facing demolition. But what seemed like an ending was actually a new beginning. The Northeast and Spring Creek congregations decided to merge, becoming the College Park Church of Christ. They found a new home, building a beautiful facility right next to the Northeast’s remaining property on FM 1314. Since its grand opening in 2009, the College Park Church of Christ has continued to grow, a testament to its dedication to serving the community and sharing the gospel. Inside these walls, you’ll find more than just a church, you’ll find a community bound by faith and dedicated to spreading the message of Jesus Christ.
