Envision a place where tradition meets innovation. The Adelson Educational Campus stands as a testament to this fusion. The Adelson Educational Campus opened its doors in August 2008 in the Summerlin area of Las Vegas. This remarkable institution isn’t just a school. It’s a vibrant tapestry woven from the threads of Jewish heritage and a forward-thinking approach to education. The Adelson Educational Campus carries the torch passed down from a lineage of Jewish day schools in the Las Vegas Valley. It all began with the Albert Einstein Hebrew Day School at Temple Beth Sholom in 1974. Then came the Hebrew Academy Las Vegas at the same temple in 1980, starting with just 57 students. As the community thrived, so did the need for a larger institution. This led to the establishment of the Milton I. Schwartz Hebrew Academy in Summerlin in 1990. The Adelson Educational Campus emerged as the next chapter in this inspiring story. Founded by Dr. Miriam and Sheldon G. Adelson, the campus embraces students of all backgrounds. It’s built on the Jewish ethos of community, service, innovation, and discourse. The campus is a constellation of three schools. The Preschool/Lower School nurtures the youngest learners, from 18 months to fourth grade. The Middle School guides students through grades five to eight. The Upper School prepares students for college with a rigorous academic program for grades nine to twelve. Sheldon G. Adelson himself served as President of the Board of Directors. He and his wife, Dr. Miriam Adelson, were the driving force and primary benefactors behind this educational beacon. The Adelson Educational Campus isn’t just a place of learning. It’s a testament to the power of vision, community, and a commitment to fostering the leaders of tomorrow.
