Agadir–Al Massira Airport is located in Temsia. This is a short 20 km trip southeast of Agadir. The airport officially serves Agadir. It also provides service to the entire Souss-Massa region. It acts as a vital link, connecting this vibrant area to the world.

Let’s rewind to get a sense of its importance. Agadir and tourism both grew over time. New flights were added to Al Massira from airports in the UK and Ireland.

Agadir–Al Massira Airport boasts a runway that commands respect. The 09/27 direction measures 3,200 by 45 metres. Its size allows aircraft as large as a Boeing 747 to land safely. The airport has an ILS Class II certification. It offers VOR DME and 2 X NDB radionavigational aids.

Agadir Airport was the site of a tragic event. On 21 August 1994, Royal Air Maroc Flight 630 crashed. It happened ten minutes after takeoff. All 44 people on board died. The crash was believed to be a deliberate act by the pilot.
