Whispers of history and progress intertwine here in Phường Tam Phước. Phường Tam Phước is a ward in Biên Hòa city, within the Đồng Nai province of Vietnam. It’s a place where the echoes of the past mingle with the hum of modern industry. Phường Tam Phước boasts a rich history. Once known as Phước Mỹ village, it was part of Long Vĩnh (later Long Vĩnh Thượng) in Long Thành district. In the late 19th century, this area encompassed the villages of Long Khánh, Phước Mỹ, Phước Hưng, and An Phước. From 1939 onwards, it fell under the administration of Quận Long Thành, Biên Hòa province. A significant shift occurred on May 21, 2008. The People’s Committee of Đồng Nai province issued Decision 1609/QĐ-UBND, leading to the establishment of two new villages, Long Đức 3 and Long Khánh 3. Years later, on February 5, 2010, Government Resolution 05/NQ-CP transferred Tam Phước to the administration of Biên Hòa city. The final transformation came on May 10, 2019, with National Assembly Resolution 694/NQ-UBTVQH14. This resolution officially established Phường Tam Phước as a ward, encompassing 45.10 square kilometers and a population of 53,731. Today, Phường Tam Phước is divided into seven smaller neighborhoods: Long Đức 1, Long Đức 2, Long Đức 3, Long Khánh 1, Long Khánh 2, Long Khánh 3, and Thiện Bình. Phường Tam Phước is more than just administrative divisions and dates. It’s a place where the past shapes the present, a testament to Vietnam’s evolving story.
