The Hasan Tanık Cami located in Çankaya. Businessman Namık Tanık sponsored it. He named it in memory of his young son, Hasan Tanık. Completed in 2010, the Hasan Tanık Cami accommodates 1500 people.
Its design draws inspiration from late Ottoman architecture. A central dome crowns the structure. An entrance dome and four secondary domes add to its grandeur.
Interestingly, the Hasan Tanık Cami is known as a smart mosque. This is due to its advanced electronic security measures. You will notice the security cameras. Twenty cameras record continuously ensuring peace within its walls. Its minarets are shorter than usual at 39 meters because the mosque is near the Çankaya Köşkü.
