“Saved and healed of a cancerous growth at the age of 16 years old.” That’s the powerful testimony of Apostle Bruce C. Lester, Sr., the man behind Voice of Hope Deliverance Church.

Voice of Hope Deliverance Church has a unique story. It officially began in April 1991. Apostle Lester felt a divine call to pioneer a church in the South Jersey/Philadelphia area.

Before founding Voice of Hope Deliverance Church, Apostle Lester served faithfully under the leadership of Pastor Thea F. Jones at the Met Church in Philadelphia for ten years. He also worked alongside his father, the late Reverend Henry C. Lester Sr., in evangelistic ministry. Later, he served as an Elder under Mother Irene A. Oakley. She prepared him for his role as a pastor.

For over four decades, Apostle Lester has been a mentor. He has launched many officers into ministry. He also evangelized in Philadelphia’s First District Plaza for seven years. He is known for his integrity and dedication to prayer. In 2009, he publicly embraced his calling as The Apostle of Prayer and Consecration.

Apostle Lester hopes God will receive glory from his life’s work. He has helped establish churches and nurtured many spiritual sons and daughters. He operates as an Apostle. He is a dynamic preacher and builder. He leads with integrity and is guided by the Holy Spirit.
