Shenyu Art Museum

From humble beginnings to a treasure trove of art and culture, the Shenyu Art Museum stands as a testament to China’s rich history. The Shenyu Art Museum first opened its doors on January 8th, offering a captivating journey through the world of jade. Initially offering free admission for a month, the museum quickly became renowned for its exquisite collection. The Shenyu Art Museum houses more than three hundred precious jade artifacts, spanning various dynasties. Curator Wang Weibin eloquently described the collection as “The highest level of the art collections is a kind of cultural spirit.” He believed that visitors would find inspiration and excitement within the museum’s walls. The Shenyu Art Museum isn’t just a place to admire beautiful objects. It’s a place to connect with the cultural spirit of China, to draw inspiration from the wisdom of the past, and to be moved by the artistry of jade. In 2013, the museum launched the China Shenyu Exhibition, a traveling exhibit designed to share the wonders of jade culture with the entire country. This initiative underscored the museum’s commitment to education and cultural outreach, further solidifying its role as a vital cultural institution in China. Located within the elegant Shuangquan Mansion, the Shenyu Art Museum awaits, ready to share its treasures with the world.
