Dreaming of an architecture born from community spirit? Here at the MoVE Lissone Installation that dream took shape. It stands as proof of what can happen when creativity meets collaboration.
The MoVE Lissone Installation is more than just a structure. It embodies a vision. Architects sought to create an affordable building. They wanted it to resonate with local identity. They yearned to connect it deeply to the urban landscape.
The core idea? A workshop harnessing human talent. This connected the building process to the local community. An international team of architects shared their cultures and experiences. They embraced an artisanal approach. They saw architecture as a material expression of culture.
The MoVE’s architectural quality rests on simple shapes and construction. Light and shadow interplay within. The wood’s sensory quality creates an intimate feel. It almost pulls you away from the city outside.
This project has transformed a forgotten space. It has given it a new identity. It acts as a focal point. Even during construction people came to watch. They captured images of the already iconic MoVE Lissone.
The MoVE Lissone Installation features three distinct sections. The preliminary area welcomes visitors. This entrance hints at future exhibitions. The horizontal exhibition space sits between two main volumes. This area hosts events and lectures. It even becomes a summer bar for the community. The tower acts as a sensorial space.
The tower’s design gives it an urban landmark status. At night it lights up. It creates a glowing lantern effect. It provides a place for sensory experiences.
The structure uses 12 wooden cubes. Each measures 2.80 by 2.80 meters. Two modules form the entrance. The horizontal exhibition space then extends. Five modules rise vertically to create the tower. Pillars and beams measure 15x15cm.
The building has a non-continuous covering. This cladding reveals the MoVE Lissone’s interior. This creates curiosity. It also gives a lantern effect through staged lighting. Low energy LED lights provide illumination. This reflects an eco-friendly design.
Massimiliano Spadoni was one of the lead architects. Other designers include Archem S.r.l., Paolo Mestriner, and Rintala Eggertsson Architects. The project demonstrates how architecture transforms a place. It shows how it forges connections. It embodies the spirit of Lissone itself. The MoVE Lissone Installation stands as a testament. It demonstrates the power of community. It is a beacon of creativity.
