On a crisp autumn day in 1978, a dream began in a humble storeroom above a warehouse on Kurilpa Street. This was the birthplace of Citipointe Christian College. Citipointe Christian College wasn’t always the sprawling campus we see today. Its journey started as Christian Outreach College Brisbane, sharing space and a strong belief with the Christian Outreach Centre. The college quickly outgrew its initial location and in 1982 relocated to its current home on Wecker Road in Mansfield. The Citipointe Christian College community, fueled by faith and fundraising, built the foundations of what would become a leading Christian institution. By 1990, three buildings graced the campus: A Block, an expanded B Block, and Kurilpa. The 1990s saw a period of significant growth for Citipointe Christian College. A library, along with four other buildings, sprang up. Even the college oval has a story. It was created by acquiring neighboring property. The growth continued into the 2000s, marked by the opening of a dedicated science center in 2006. Today, Citipointe Christian College educates over 1700 students from Prep to Year 12, a testament to the vision of its founders. The campus, shared with Citipointe Church, Citipointe ChildCare, and Christian Heritage College, is a bustling hub of learning and faith. Citipointe Christian College also boasts an impressive alumni network, including Paralympian Alberto Campbell-Staines, Brisbane’s Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner, and the members of the band Violent Soho. Citipointe Christian College is more than just bricks and mortar. It is a testament to the power of faith, community, and a commitment to providing a quality Christian education.
