The Hermosa Beach Historical Society Museum is as eclectic as the city itself. It captures Hermosa’s vibrant history. The museum is located in the former wood shop of Pier Avenue Junior High. It also occupies the old girl’s locker room. This building is now the Hermosa Beach Community Center.
Inside the Hermosa Beach Historical Society Museum are about 3,500 items. These include photographs, postcards, and old newspapers. You’ll also find prints and cool artifacts. These items are used for exhibits and educational programs. They also serve research purposes.
