Restored to its former glory. That’s the Little Brown Church in Jimboomba. A charming little building it stands. Built around 1900 this quaint church has a fascinating history. Originally it served as the Old Jimboomba Church. An interdenominational space it was from about 1909. The Uniting Church acquired it in 1967. It remained in use until 1988. Facing demolition the Rotary Club of Jimboomba stepped in. They saved the church. They moved it to Johanna Street in 1999. The Little Brown Church was lovingly restored. Now it’s a venue for small events. Weddings baptisms naming ceremonies all find a home here. Eight pews seat approximately four people each. An altar and lectern are available for use. Air conditioning and ceiling fans ensure comfort. A TV monitor displays images. Wheelchair access is provided via a ramp. The Little Brown Church is more than just a building.
