What if walls could talk? The walls of Living Water Christian Fellowship Church in Los Angeles could tell a tale of five decades of faith. Living Water Christian Fellowship has witnessed incredible growth and transformation since its humble beginnings in 1973. Originally named Fountain Valley Church of God, this vibrant community was first led by Pastor Don Miller and his family. A small group of twenty-seven met at Faith Lutheran Church in Huntington Beach. They soon purchased the current two-acre site. Construction of the first sanctuary on the Living Water Christian Fellowship property began in July 1974. A significant shift happened in June 1979. Pastors Dan and Finnabea Moore took the helm. Pastor Dan’s vision was to reach the people of Orange County. He focused on care, global evangelism, Christian education, and Christ-centered worship. Living Water Christian Fellowship experienced remarkable growth under his leadership. This growth necessitated a larger sanctuary in 1984. By 1992, with over 300 attendees, an education and office building was added. The church remarkably eradicated a debt of approximately $850,000 by 1998. The growth continued. A final 2.25-million-dollar reconstruction project commenced in January 2015. This project focused on expanding children’s and youth spaces, and redesigning the office space. In 2017, Pastor Dan Moore transitioned to Pastor Emeritus. In September 2021, Pastor Deena Querry became Senior Pastor, reaffirming Living Water Christian Fellowship’s commitment to families. The church’s mission is to help families connect with Jesus and find a place of belonging. Living Water Christian Fellowship continues its mission to connect with families in Orange County, writing new chapters in its story of faith and service.
