Imagine the scene in 2003. The Baraka Spor Salonu was bustling. More and more students were getting involved in sports. The existing building was too small. So a two-story extension was added. It doubled the size. A fitness center opened on the ground floor. Upstairs a matted space for martial arts appeared in 2004.
Now picture this The Baraka Spor Salonu isn’t just one hall. There’s a large indoor basketball court. A dedicated space for mat sports like wrestling is available. A fitness center equips athletes for peak performance.
Before the pandemic the gym was very crowded. It’s close to the dormitories. So it was always busy. Students flocked here before and after classes. The fitness center especially was extremely popular. But then restrictions changed things. Appointments became essential.
Today Baraka Spor Salonu continues to serve the community. It’s a vibrant hub for sports. Many university teams train here. Basketball handball korfball badminton wrestling karate taekwondo futsal orienteering and judo are all practiced within its walls. The total indoor area is 2000 square meters. Plenty of room for athletic pursuits.
