See how the floor slabs fan outwards, resembling the delicate petals of Chengdu’s city flower, the hibiscus. Ascend further, and you’ll notice these “petals” decrease in number, a subtle nod to mathematical progression. But the real magic happens on special occasions. Imagine the birth of a panda cub, a momentous event. Suddenly, the tower’s facade, made of 720 arch-shaped beams, springs to life. Like a bamboo shoot pushing through the earth, it unfolds, revealing its inner beauty. This mechanical marvel is powered by a program, a testament to the seamless blend of nature and technology.
