Stepping inside the Refuge Church of Christ in Charleston, one can almost feel the echoes of history. The Refuge Church of Christ isn’t just a building. It’s a testament to faith and community. The current pastor, Craig Crosby, has deep roots in this area. He grew up in nearby St. George and has a long history with the region. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Religion from Charleston Southern University. Later, he received his Master’s Degree in Christian Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Pastor Crosby’s journey in ministry began in the summer of 1993. He has served in various roles at eight different churches across South Carolina, Georgia, and Texas. His experience extends beyond traditional church settings. He also served as a hospice chaplain, providing comfort and spiritual guidance during challenging times. The Refuge Church of Christ is the second church he has founded and nurtured from its inception. His dedication to his calling is evident in his community involvement. He connects with people. He shares his thoughts and insights through his blog. This blog has reached a global audience, with readers in 130 different countries. Pastor Crosby and his wife, Aimee, have been married since 1997. They have four sons: Matthew, Joel, Seth, and Asher. The Crosby family now calls Walterboro home. They look forward to continuing their service and ministry within the Colleton County community.
