The Bronx Zoo Treetop Adventure opened in the summer of 2017. It offers a unique blend of heart-pounding excitement and stunning views.
The Bronx Zoo Treetop Adventure features seven different ropes courses. These courses range in difficulty from beginner to expert. Each course presents a series of 8 to 12 challenges. These include rope bridges, tight ropes, ladders, and even swinging elements. For those seeking the ultimate thrill, the expert course culminates in an exhilarating jump descender. If you’re more interested in soaring through the air, the dual ziplines are calling your name. These ziplines stretch over 400 feet across the Bronx River, offering breathtaking views from 50 feet above the water.
Safety is a top priority at the Bronx Zoo Treetop Adventure. Helmets and harnesses are included in the ticket price. Each two-hour climb session begins with instruction and training. There are height and weight restrictions. Participants must be at least seven years old, weigh between 50 and 275 pounds, and be able to reach 5’6″ with their feet flat on the ground. A signed waiver and proper footwear are also required.
Want to combine climbing and ziplining? The Bronx Zoo Treetop Adventure offers combination tickets. A climb-only ticket costs $64.99 for two hours of ropes course action. A roundtrip zipline adventure is $34.99. The combined climb and zipline ticket is $74.99, giving you the best of both worlds. Located near the Bronx River Parking entrance to the zoo, the Treetop Adventure is accessible from Exit 6 off the Bronx River Parkway. It is also reachable from the Pelham Parkway subway station. Note: the Treetop Adventure requires a separate ticket from general zoo admission or a WCS Membership. The Bronx Zoo Treetop Adventure operates year-round, weather permitting.
