At 13th Residential College, whispers of a past life linger. This wasn’t always a home for University of Malaya students. 13th Residential College stands on the grounds of what was once the International Islamic University Malaysia’s (IIUM) Petaling Jaya campus. Imagine the shift, from the serene studies of Islamic law and theology to the lively bustle of UM undergrads. The 13th Residential College, or KK13 as it’s sometimes called, now houses UM students, adding another layer to the rich history of this place. While it now serves UM, the echoes of its previous life as the IIUM Petaling Jaya campus add a unique dimension to its story. This building has seen a transformation, a shift in purpose, but its walls surely hold stories from both eras. 13th Residential College offers a glimpse into the ever-evolving landscape of education in Kuala Lumpur.
