“Is that incense I smell?” Right here, in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, stands Chùa Hải Đức, a beacon of tranquility amidst the urban bustle. Even with the city swirling around us, you can almost feel a sense of peace emanating from Chùa Hải Đức. This Buddhist temple, while not as ancient as some others in Vietnam, holds a special place in the hearts of the locals. The story of Chùa Hải Đức begins in 1971. Venerable Thích Thiện Chơn, guided by faith, established the temple. It quickly became a place of solace, its doors open to all seeking spiritual guidance and peace.
