This money came from the Batam City Government (Pemko Batam) in 2023. The purpose? To continue the mosque’s ongoing construction in Bengkong Abadi 2. Masjid Istiqomah Bengkong plays a vital role in the local community. The donation ceremony was attended by important figures. Among them were Mayor Muhammad Rudi, Deputy Chairman II of the Batam DPRD Muhammad Yunus Muda, and Deputy Chairman of the Nasdem Party’s Batam City DPC H. Suhadi ST. Also present was H. Ustadz Ali Mansur, a representative from Masjid Istiqomah Bengkong. This wasn’t the only act of generosity. Another mosque, Masjid Jami Kelana Jaya, received Rp100 million. This brought the total donations to Rp250 million. Mayor Rudi expressed his hopes for the donations. He believes they will contribute to the prosperity of the mosques. He encouraged everyone to participate in enriching these places of worship. He also expressed hope for a smooth construction process for Masjid Istiqomah Bengkong.
