Founded on February 16 1908 Emmanuel Lutheran Church stands before you. Originally known as Women’s Memorial Lutheran Church it was a testament to the dedication of the Women’s Missionary Society. They provided the initial funding for this remarkable church. Twenty years later the church became self-supporting. Its name was changed to Emmanuel God with us a fitting title for a place of faith and community.
Emmanuel Lutheran Church is more than just a building. It’s a vibrant community. For almost a century it has been a place of worship. Eleven pastors have served this congregation. Nine young people from Emmanuel have entered the ordained ministry. This shows the deep spiritual impact the church has had on its members.
