This isn’t just a house. It’s a sanctuary. It’s a family’s dream realized. A young couple and their two sons live here. Their desire was for a modern space close to nature. A place where family bonds thrive.
The land itself presented challenges. A narrow 90 square meter plot. Typical of Vietnam’s tube houses. But the architects saw opportunity. They oriented the C6 house southeast. This captures the cooling summer breezes. It also provides stunning rice field views.
The design is ingenious. Primary spaces are arranged at right angles. Secondary spaces like corridors and bathrooms are diagonal. This cleverly minimizes the impact of the unusual shape.
A split-level design enhances natural ventilation and daylight. More than that it fosters family interaction. The height difference between floors allows family members to easily see each other. It strengthens the connections between them.
The first floor is for communal living. A living room kitchen and dining room flow seamlessly together. There’s even a guest bedroom. Upstairs are two bedrooms one for the parents one for the children. They are on opposite ends of the second floor. Between them a shared space encourages evening conversations.
The third floor offers a peaceful worship area and storage. The worship room opens onto a terrace. An elliptically shaped roof tile frames the view. The lush rice paddies and distant mountains offer a breathtaking vista.
