They were divided into two groups. One was a regular course. The other was a physical education course.

The rugby team won the 14th Spring Invitational Tournament in 2013. The golf team won the All Japan High School Golf Tournament in 1999. Even the basketball teams have made their mark.
Osaka Toin High School has faced controversies. In 2007 there was a scandal involving inflated university entrance exam success rates. In 2015 a slush fund scandal came to light.
