Grace Midtown Church began in 1983 as Grace Fellowship a vision of Buddy Hoffman. It’s unique. It focuses on building smaller churches within communities instead of one giant megachurch. Think of it as a network of smaller churches all connected under the Grace Midtown umbrella.

Grace Midtown Church sits on what was once a demolition company’s property. The congregation purchased and renovated the site. They planted a seed and it’s thriving. They transformed a former warehouse into a stunning 1000-seat auditorium. There’s a cafe downstairs. Upstairs you’ll find offices and meeting rooms. The whole campus feels welcoming. It’s a 3-acre campus about the size of a small community college.

Rob Kaple is the Lead Pastor. Before that he was a House Church Pastor and Associate Pastor. He was one of the original leaders of FORM School of Leadership. FORM mentors future leaders. It provides them with resources to fulfil their missions. Partners benefit from pastoral care. They’re mentored and given tools to share their faith in their communities. This happens primarily through the home churches. Kidtown teams and college ministry teams also play a crucial role.

Grace Midtown Church has a clear vision. It aims to invite all people to become awake to God. They do this by making disciples multiplying house churches and planting city-centered churches. The house churches are vital. They value real relationships and authentic community. You can choose a house church based on your stage of life your neighborhood and meeting times.

The atmosphere is casual and inviting. Dress is casual. The style of music is contemporary to modern. The band is made up of church partners. They use a mix of acoustic and electronic instruments. Services run about 90 to 105 minutes. The sermon is usually about 45 minutes. There’s a time for communion and offerings. The church is low-key and welcoming. A covered patio with heaters and a fireplace encourages interaction.

The church also has a significant outreach program. They support local elementary schools adolescents youth soccer clubs and others. They invest 15% of every dollar in missions.
