In September 22 1968 the church officially adopted the name Pyeonghwa Sungkyul Church. Over the years Pyeonghwa Sungkyul Church has expanded its reach and influence. It established the Seoul Pyeonghwa Kindergarten in March 14 1986. This reflects its commitment to education and community service.
Lee Gi-won a devoted pastor passed away in May 4 1999. Then in October 1 2000 Choi Jong-in became the second pastor. Pyeonghwa Sungkyul Church actively engages with the local community. It supports senior citizens. It visits nearby senior centers offering worship and meals every Wednesday. The church also runs a Senior College every Thursday. This provides education and fellowship. Currently 150 seniors participate studying the Bible and preparing for the future.

In 1973 Lee Gi-won was ordained as a pastor. In 1989 the church grew significantly. In 1996 Pyeonghwa Sungkyul Church celebrated its 28th anniversary. In 2003 they started senior missionary worship services.
Pyeonghwa Sungkyul Church has partnered with Guro Police Station to support the community. They have held Christmas events. In 2004 the church welcomed 329 new believers. By the end of that year 643 new members had joined.
Since 2008 Pyeonghwa Sungkyul Church has provided 봉사 to Guro Sacred Heart Hospital. Since 2009 they have operated laughter therapy schools and 우울증 schools.
Today Pyeonghwa Sungkyul Church is led by a team of dedicated pastors and staff. It has a large congregation. About 800 members are elders. Around 500 are younger generations.
