Picture this. The kitchen and small sitting room were once a cow byre. The front bedrooms served as a hayloft. Outside steps led down to the yard. Sometime in the 1800s the cowshed transformed. It became a dwelling. Over time it grew into the house you see today.
Today, The Old Byre boasts two double bedrooms and one twin. A tiny extra bedroom fits a travel cot. The bathroom includes both a bath and shower. There is also a separate WC.
The kitchen is well-equipped. It features wooden work surfaces and stainless steel cookware. The original pitch pine floor remains. A 3ft thick sandstone wall opens to the dining and living room. A snug sitting room features a wood-burning stove.
Outside, a private walled courtyard garden faces south. Decking adds to the charm. It’s secure for children. Steps lead to the garage.
The Old Byre includes central heating and modern amenities. Colour TV, a freezer, and laundry facilities are provided. Linen, towels, and utilities are all included.
