Established in 1964, Nhà Thờ Hiện Linh stands before you. It has witnessed the ebb and flow of life in Ho Chi Minh City. Đức Giám Mục Phanxicô Xaviê Trần Thanh Khâm decreed its creation. He designated the church of Hiện Linh as the parish’s patron. The initial structure, completed in 1969, underwent expansion in 1974 and renovations in 1986. Nhà Thờ Hiện Linh isn’t just bricks and mortar. It’s a testament to the enduring spirit of the community. The church grounds, encompassing 800 square meters, provide a sanctuary. The sanctuary itself occupies 260 square meters. A striking 11-meter bell tower reaches towards the sky. Statues of Đức Mẹ and Thánh Giuse, standing 5 meters tall, grace the grounds. Another statue of Đức Mẹ, a towering 7 meters and covering 180 square meters, is located 500 meters from Nhà Thờ Hiện Linh. This statue stands in the Giuse section of the parish. The first priest of Nhà Thờ Hiện Linh was Gioan Trần Văn Nam. He began his service in 1976 with a congregation of 200 parishioners. Their faith laid the foundation for the vibrant community that thrives here today.
