The Augustiner Bräu Kloster Mülln was founded by Augustine monks in 1621. From the end of the 18th century until 1851 the building served as an army barrack. However in 1835 Emperor Ferdinand I of Austria gave it to the Benedictine Abbey in Michaelbeuern. The Benedictines expanded the beer garden. Locals flocked there especially on weekends and holidays.
