Stepping into the Cinnah 19 building, home to ATLAS Sanat Galerisi;craft312 Studio, imagine yourself transported back to 2005. The gallery first opened its doors on August 29th of that year. It was founded by Bülâ Atalay with a vision to showcase a diverse range of art forms. ATLAS Sanat Galerisi features everything from paintings and sculptures to video art, digital creations, ceramics, and installations. The gallery itself occupies apartment number one of the Cinnah 19 building. This building, designed by architect Nejat Ersin in the late 1950s, is a remarkable example of civil architecture. ATLAS Sanat Galerisi;craft312 Studio complements the building’s modern and geometric design beautifully. The gallery space is thoughtfully arranged with a large main exhibition hall. Two smaller exhibition halls, a workshop, collection rooms, and service areas contribute to its modern functionality. The inaugural exhibition on October 11th, 2005, featured Korean artist Chung Yong İl. Since then, ATLAS Sanat Galerisi has remained true to its mission. It provides a platform for emerging artists. The gallery also aims to document artistic discussions and foster connections between art enthusiasts and artists. It strives to empower art and its creators. ATLAS Sanat Galerisi envisions itself as a modern museum-gallery of the future. It promotes established artists through thematic exhibitions, showcasing their work in diverse events.
