Established in 1874 Chiba City Todoroki Elementary School boasts a rich history. It began as a small school. It was located in the former village of Chiba. This is now part of the current Wakaba Ward. The school moved in 1874. The new location was the Jusoin Temple. Then it relocated again in 1874. This time it was to a building in Todoriki Village. In 1912 the school merged with the Sankoku Todoroki Elementary School. It then became Todoroki Elementary School. A new school building was completed in 1913. The school’s name changed many times. It reflected the changing administrative divisions. In 1937 Todoriki Village became part of Chiba City. The school officially became Chiba City Todoroki Elementary School. Then in 1941 it became Chiba City Todoroki National School. Later in 1947 the name reverted to Chiba City Todoroki Elementary School. The school stood as a testament to the community’s dedication.
