Stadtmission Gemeinde Wedding is the second oldest congregation of the Berliner Stadtmission. This is a free work of the Evangelische Kirche Berlin-Brandenburg-Schlesische Oberlausitz. Many members grew up in this church. They have shaped community life for a long time. But new faces also enrich the church alongside long-standing friendships.
The Stadtmission Gemeinde Wedding is known as Immanuel Chapel. Here you can find community life. There is even a winter playground. They offer programs for teens. You might find new friends. It could even become a kind of home for you. The congregation looks forward to welcoming everyone.
The weekly services are the focus. In the summer, services take place in the brightly lit chapel in the backyard. Large windows illuminate it. During winter, the chapel hosts a Winterspielplatz twice a week. Therefore, the service is celebrated in the front building during this season.
The services have a familiar atmosphere. They conclude with a cozy coffee together. The members take time to chat. There are always some cookies to snack on.
The activities continue during the week. From November to March, the Winterspielplatz opens its doors every Thursday. Those interested in studying the Bible together outside of service are welcome. They can learn new things and grow in faith. The Bible study is open for everyone.
Classical concerts take place monthly. Usually, the musician and composer Vladi Corda performs. You can enjoy beautiful music and relaxation on Sunday afternoons. This is before the hustle and bustle starts again on Monday.
The Gemeinde Wedding offers pastoral care. There are mother-child meetings. They provide Bible study and prayer meetings. Hauskreise and Gottesdienste are also offered.
