Founded on March 26 1989 Jesus’ Love Church started with twelve members. Pastor Tam Im-mok led them. Their mission was clear. They wanted to serve the Sanggye-dong community. Jesus’ Love Church firmly believes in God’s absolute sovereignty. It also believes in the Bible’s infallibility. The church is committed to its faith.
In 2001 the church relocated to Gongneung-dong. This move aimed to create a new worship space. The goal was to blossom. It was like a flower of evangelism. This transition wasn’t without its challenges. Initially, the congregation faced difficulties. The new location was less accessible. About two-thirds of the members left. Yet, the remaining members persevered.
Pastor Kim Jin-ha brought innovative changes. He introduced contemporary worship. He also started cell group meetings. These meetings addressed the congregation’s needs. They helped to overcome the challenges. The adaptation to the new environment was remarkably quick. Within a year, the church was thriving. Its innovative worship style became its identity.
Pastor Kim Jin-ha valued the worship experience. He ensured that church members felt God’s presence. Every aspect of the service was carefully planned. The church integrated various cultural elements. These included music lighting and multimedia. Over eleven years the church refined these elements. They reached professional standards. Many churches now emulate their approach.
Jesus’ Love Church is preparing for another leap. They plan to establish a missionary base. It will be in a new city. This city is ten minutes from the church. The vision involves decentralizing missionary efforts. It also aims to expand outreach. The church wants to reach more people. Currently there is a missionary center. It is in Byeollae-myeon. The church envisions a triangular structure. This structure will enhance evangelism.
