Initially a juniorate for young men aspiring to be Franciscan Brothers St Anthony’s modest beginnings saw just twenty-five students. Imagine those early days a small school in Smithtown. The Franciscan Brothers’ vision expanded. In 1958 they welcomed day students transforming St Anthony’s into a college preparatory high school for boys. Growth continued. By 1984 St Anthony’s relocated to its current location in South Huntington. A significant milestone occurred that year too. The school opened its doors to young women becoming co-educational.
