The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey was dissolved, and a large portion of its assets were absorbed into Rutgers University, giving birth to RBHS. Although its buildings and centers are scattered across New Jersey, Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences is considered the university’s fourth campus. This place is more than just bricks and mortar. It’s a testament to collaboration, bringing together schools like the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, the School of Nursing, the School of Dental Medicine, and the School of Public Health, all under one umbrella. This includes the Rutgers Health Group, a faculty practice plan with over 1,000 clinicians, and the Rutgers Health Network, which brings together teaching hospitals, community centers, and other healthcare partners. Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences is a hub for undergraduate and graduate education, offering programs from certificates to doctorates.
