This denomination has a rich history. It began in the challenging times of the 1890s South. A group of Black Baptist preachers started preaching about a direct experience of the Holy Spirit. This contrasted with more traditional approaches.
The Church of God in Christ quickly spread. It expanded across the South through traveling preachers. It became particularly prominent in Memphis Tennessee. Even Martin Luther King Jr preached his last sermon at a COGIC church in Memphis. The Rolling Church of God in Christ carries this legacy. It continues that tradition of faith.

Bishop Arthur F Mosley leads this congregation. He has a BA from California State University. He also holds an MDIV from CH Mason Theological Seminary and a doctorate from Knox Seminary. He’s a husband father and grandfather. He embodies the love and dedication at the heart of the Rolling Church of God in Christ.
