“Supporting the emerging art scene” is the calling card of Espace à Vendre. This gallery is not just a space. It is a commitment. It blends the works of artists supported since 2004 with those of invited artists.

Espace à Vendre began its journey in 2004. It started in a small 18m2 space on Rue Assalit in Nice. In 2006 the gallery expanded. It moved to a 100m2 location near the MAMAC.

Bertrand Baraudou is the director of Espace à Vendre. In 2008 he opened a second space in the Marais district of Paris. His goal was to offer unprecedented visibility to emerging artists. He champions them.

In April 2011 Espace à Vendre found a new home. It was located near the Nice train station. This move contributed to the revitalization of the Liberation district. It also boosted the Nice art scene.

Today the gallery on Rue Assalit has a unique layout. It features four distinct spaces. There is an exhibition room facing the street. A showroom is available to display works. An adjoining courtyard creates a connection. It connects to a new 130m2 space. The total area now spans 250 m2.

Espace à Vendre is a founding member of Botoxs. This is a contemporary art network in the Alpes and Riviera region. The gallery hosts a variety of events. These include exhibitions performances and readings. They also show film screenings. Recently they added acoustic concerts.

For nearly 20 years Espace à Vendre has been a vital force. It has hosted over 130 exhibitions. It has participated in about 30 national and international art fairs. The gallery and Galerie Bertrand Baraudou in Paris presented over 200 French and international artists.

Espace à Vendre opens its doors from Tuesday to Saturday. The opening times are from 2 PM to 7 PM. The gallery continues to be a place for artistic discovery. It promotes emerging talents. It enriches the cultural landscape of Nice and beyond.

One notable artist who has been featured is Maxime Duveau. His work involves remixing images. He experiments with different modes of production. His approach explores the nature and status of the image. His images may seem hard to decipher. They involve interlacing motifs. These motifs connect to his biography. His work collages memories. These memories include a road movie in California. Also views of Conflans-Sainte-Honorine where he spent much of his life. Finally snapshots of his exhibitions.

Espace à Vendre remains dedicated to its mission. It supports emerging artists. It fosters a dynamic and engaging environment for contemporary art. It stands as a testament to the power of art. Art can transform spaces. Art can connect people. Art can inspire new perspectives.
