Contemplate a town where history whispers from every corner. Zhaoquanying Town sits on the northwestern side of Shunyi District in Beijing. It is more than just a location. Zhaoquanying is a tapestry of time and tradition.

Zhaoquanying shares its borders with several vibrant towns. Beishicao and Miaocheng lie to its north. Niulanshan is to its east. Mapo and Gaoliying Towns are its southern neighbors. Xingshou Town marks its western edge.

In 2020, Zhaoquanying was home to 47,206 people. This population reflects a density of 730 people per square kilometer. The town’s story unfolds through its administrative divisions. In 2021, Zhaoquanying comprised 26 subdivisions. These included one community and 25 villages.

The history of Zhaoquanying is a chronicle of evolving administration. From 1958 to 1973, it was the Beilangzhong Management District. It was then part of the Niulanshan People’s Commune in Shunyi County. Between 1973 and 1983, it became the Zhaoquanying People’s Commune. From 1983 to 1997, Zhaoquanying transitioned into a township. In 1997, Banqiao Township merged. This formed Zhaoquanying Town until 1998. Since then, it has been part of Shunyi District.

Zhaoquanying’s story is etched in numbers. In 2011, the town’s total industrial output value reached 1.99 billion yuan. This was a 27% increase over the previous year. The industrial added value accounted for 40% of the GDP at 580 million yuan. The town’s total revenue was 210 million yuan. Local fiscal revenue was 60 million yuan.

Zhaoquanying is situated between 116 27’53″~ 116 37’26” E and 40 10’43″~ 40 15’09” N. Its geography features the alluvial plain of the Chaobai River. The terrain is generally flat. It lies 38 to 50 meters above sea level.

Zhaoquanying experiences a warm temperate, semi-humid continental monsoon climate. The annual average temperature is 11.5 degrees Celsius. January sees an average temperature of -4.9 degrees Celsius. July’s average is 25.7 degrees Celsius.

By the end of 2018, Zhaoquanying had 27,813 registered residents. The agricultural sector is also vital. In 2011, the town’s agricultural output value reached 684.76 million yuan. The main crops are wheat and corn. Animal husbandry includes pigs, cattle, sheep, and chickens.

Zhaoquanying boasts cultural and sports engagements. There are cultural and art groups. The town provides various art performance groups. Theaters and cinemas enrich community life.
