A small congregation of just 50 members gathered in rented rooms near the church’s current location. Imagine those early days, filled with hope and determination. Just a year earlier, in May 1965, Pastor Nam Lae had assembled a core group of 39 believers, laying the foundation for what would become this vibrant community. The church formally established itself at its current location, 342 Deoksin-ro, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, marking a significant step in its journey. Over the years, Geumho Jeil Church continued to grow and evolve. The church’s chronicle reveals milestones of expansion and renovation. These mark not only physical growth but also the deepening faith of its community. From the addition of new facilities to the establishment of its first educational building in 1983, each event weaves a thread into the rich tapestry of Geumho Jeil Church. Fast forward to 1991, when the church welcomed Reverend Lee Soo-min as its pastor. This leadership transition ushered in a new era for the congregation.
