In 2014 a sincere desire blossomed. A desire to delve deeper into the truth of scripture. A desire for spiritual growth. This desire formed the foundation of Biserica Baptista Providenta Frankfurt. It began as a small gathering of believers. They sought to emulate Jesus Christ.
The church’s birth was preceded by a period of fasting and prayer. Both local members and churches in Romania participated. In May through God’s grace the first Romanian Baptist church in Frankfurt was established. The first official service was held on May 11th.
Early meetings took place in the conference room of the Arosa Hotel. This was a temporary location. On December 7th 2014 a more permanent home was found. The church moved to In der Schildwacht 13. It settled on the fourth floor.
Throughout these early months the church was supported. Brothers and sisters from Romania and Germany attended. Their faith strengthened the congregation. They encouraged and emboldened the work God had begun.
God’s hand was evident in the church’s growth. The committee and the entire congregation decided on a name. Biserica Baptista Providenta Frankfurt became its official name. Providenta meaning providence. This reflected the divine guidance felt throughout its journey.
God’s blessings have been abundant. The church continues to thrive. Its future rests in the almighty hand of God. The church confidently anticipates continued success. It is a testament to faith hope and unwavering devotion. Biserica Baptista Providenta Frankfurt stands as a beacon of faith. It stands as a symbol of community and spiritual growth in Frankfurt.
