Welcome to Chidori Gekijou. It is a place where abstract images take form. This is a space where the essence of Japan is captured through digital artistry.
Chidori Gekijou is known for beautiful and atmospheric CG creations. We combine gentle artistry with Japanese sensibilities. Our studio creates CG with a special focus. We value things that are beautiful and atmospheric. We also value things that are a little gentle and Japanese in mind. We even combine our work with analog techniques.
Our team isn’t specialized because we work in a small group. Each person is involved in various tasks. We may even use materials that we have photographed ourselves if possible.
Chidori Gekijou received the 2023 Kyoto Digital Amusement Award. The Kyoto Prefectural Government sponsored this award. It recognized our new business in Kyoto. It also recognized our contribution to culture and industry. This contribution comes from expressing Kyoto and Japaneseness through CG images.
We create CG for various projects. These include music videos, commercials, and movies. For example, we created CG for =LOVE’s music video “Don’t ever quit being an idol”. We created romantic scenes like a glittering moon world. We also created a world of glass shoes.
We also participated in the CGs of Snow Man’s “BREAKOUT” Music Video. We created botanical effects for Mr. Meguro Ren’s background in the video. Chiso, a Kyoto yuzen kimono shop, produced the “Flowers, Birds, and 2024 Collection” movie with us. We were impressed by Chiso’s pursuit of beauty and innovation.
In 2021, Chidori Gekijou was involved in the “Modern Rakuchu Rakugai Screen”. This won the grand prize at the Kyoto Design Award 2021.
Our work aims to share new values and excitement. We want to grow together with those who want to do something a little different. Although remote work is possible sometimes, full remote is not supported.
