Reverend Steve W. Hall has proudly served as Bethany Baptist Church’s pastor since 1985. His wife, Sis. Diane A. Hall, works diligently by his side. Together, they have three sons and five grandchildren.
Pastor Hall has strong roots in Navasota, Texas. He grew up in a family of eight children. He professed his faith at age twelve and was baptized in the Brazos River. His family has a strong history of faith. His grandfather and great-grandfather were both pastors.
Before answering God’s call, Hall graduated from Prairie View A&M University. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering and a Minor in Mathematics. He served four years in the United States Army after the Vietnam War. He received the Meritorious Service Medal. In 1991, the US Army honorably discharged Captain Hall.
Hall previously served at Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist Church in Houston. He was the Chairman of Deacons, Associate Minister, and Assistant Pastor. He has two graduate degrees from the Houston Graduate School of Theology. He earned a Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry degree.
Pastor Hall serves the community in many ways. He is a commissioner on the City of Houston’s Land Assemblage Redevelopment Authority. He is also a Professor and Dean of Urban Programs for The Southern Reformed Theological College & Seminary. He prepares future pastors and ministers.
Since becoming pastor in 1985, Hall has taught God’s Word. He aims to remove excuses for not serving God. He believes in old-time religious traditions. He encourages giving Christ the best praise and service. All to His Glory.
