Gongbei Street stretches for 700 meters. It covers an area of 12,000 square meters, housing close to 200 shops across 9,000 square meters of retail space. To enhance the street’s appeal and create a more inviting atmosphere, small vendor stalls have been introduced. These stalls, strategically placed at the entrance and along the street, offer a variety of unique goods, adding to the vibrant marketplace feel.
Gongbei Street offers a diverse shopping experience, with shops specializing in local products, souvenirs, and handicrafts. You’ll find a tempting array of goods. Eleven well-known shops offer specialties like Macau barbeque, souvenirs, and local handicrafts. Gongbei Street is also actively promoting itself as a tourist destination. The street has been featured in Zhuhai travel guides. Efforts are underway to include Gongbei Street in Zhuhai’s tourism routes. Targeted outreach to restaurants has identified key dining establishments, inviting them to participate in this vibrant commercial hub. The transformation of Gongbei Street was largely completed by the Spring Festival of 2004. It quickly became a bustling commercial center.
