The SRF Center Department in Los Angeles guides the council. Donations go towards the upkeep of the property. They also help with other general expenses. Some donations go to the EMC Building Fund or to SRF. It depends on what the donor indicates.
SRF was established by Paramahansa Yogananda. He was a God-realized Master who came to the West from India in 1920. His primary mission was to teach Kriya Yoga. A morning meditation starts at 9 a.m. A reading service follows at 10 a.m. Sunday School classes are from 10 to 11 a.m. There are also meditation services on Thursday, Sunday and Friday evenings.
