In the heart of Bucharest, a beacon of faith stands tall. Biserica Baptistă Agapia București. A testament to the transformative power of the Gospel. The church’s story begins not with grand pronouncements, but with a simple calling. A calling felt by the Mogoș family, Beniamin and Anda. They dreamt of a church in the heart of Bucharest. A place that would be a source of light and hope, radiating outwards from the city center to the world. Biserica Baptistă Agapia București began as a small group. Just three families and a handful of visitors gathered in 2010. They were the seeds of what would become a vibrant community. Officially established in 2011 as a branch of Biserica Sfânta Treime, it started with a mere seven members. Biserica Baptistă Agapia București quickly outgrew its initial space. In 2012, they moved to a new location at Piața Alba Iulia. Then, in 2014, the congregation found a home at Sala Dalles, just moments from Kilometrul Zero, the very heart of Bucharest. Growth continued. In 2016, another move, this time to the bustling Piața Unirii on Crișului Street. Biserica Baptistă Agapia București is more than just a building. It’s a community. It’s a group of imperfect people, united by their faith in a perfect God. They strive to live by three core principles: love God, love your neighbor, and make disciples. These tenets, drawn from the Gospel, guide their every action. In 2022, the church achieved a significant milestone. Despite still renting their space, they purchased the former Ascensorul S.A. repair hall on Olimpului Street, just a short walk from Piața Unirii. Renovations began, fueled by the dream of finally having a permanent home. Biserica Baptistă Agapia București welcomes everyone. Every Sunday, starting at 10:30 am, they gather on Crișului Street to worship and connect. They invite you to join their community. To experience the warmth, the fellowship, and the transformative power of faith.
