This organization, alongside Bethany International University (BIU) in Singapore, has been instrumental in establishing missionary training schools around the world. Their aim is to reach those who have yet to hear the Gospel. In Ghana, the Bethany Church Mission is part of a larger narrative of training and outreach. It echoes the work of individuals like Sam Dunya, a Bethany Gateways missionary working in Northern Ghana. Dunya’s strategy of digging wells and meeting practical needs has opened doors to ministry among various tribes. He’s planted over 200 churches in Muslim villages, demonstrating a profound impact. Dunya’s approach also involves training future leaders. He requests two men from each village where a church is established to undergo two years of training. These men then return to their communities as equipped leaders, further extending the reach of the Bethany Church Mission. This method, focused on training and multiplication, aims to nurture a network of 2,000 trained leaders, bolstering the Christian presence in Northern Ghana.
