Meet Pastor M. Zidde Hamatheite. He leads Wayside Baptist Church. He learned to reverence God early. His father, Archbishop M. Zideoneo Hamatheite, taught him. His mother, Rakal Hamatheite, nurtured his journey.
At 14, he began ministry. He served at West Baptist Church. He was under Reverend Alvin Barnett. For 11 years, the Holy Spirit guided him. His pastor guided him too.
In 1995, he became pastor. He led Gethsemane Baptist Church. It was in East New York. He stayed there until 2010. Then, he was called to Wayside Baptist Church.
Reverend Hamatheite values family. This includes natural and spiritual connections. He believes in community. He works within the communities he serves. He passionately teaches youth.
Pastor Hamatheite is a visionary. He wants to transform Christians. He wants to move them from conformity. He is involved in many organizations. These include M.O.V.E. and the 73rd Precinct Clergy Liaison. He also works with Bridging the Gap Ministries. He supports the Police Explorers Program.
He was the youngest Moderator. He served the New York Missionary Baptist Association from 2003 to 2007. He founded the Young Pastors. He started the Ministers and Evangelists Dept. He worked with the Eastern Baptist Association. Pastor Hamatheite holds a Masters in Psychology. He focused on Counseling at Fordham University.
