Right here in Manchester stands a testament to the Jain community’s growth and dedication. The Jain Community Centre isn’t just a building. It’s a vibrant hub. It serves the community’s religious cultural and social needs.
For many years Manchester’s Jain community used borrowed facilities. Their numbers grew. They needed their own space. Their own centre. In 1997 they purchased land. Funding from members and the National Lottery made it possible. The centre was built on the same site. It opened on September 21st 2002.
The temple inside is truly special. Skilled craftsmen from India built and assembled it. The temple doors opened on July 20th 2003. This beautiful structure isn’t just for religious practices. It hosts weddings cultural programs and even indoor sports. The centre has a large multipurpose hall a dining room and even a small seminar room.
