Founded in 1993 by Kerry and Chris Shook, this church started with a vision to reach the families of this community with uplifting music, a friendly atmosphere, and a relevant message. Over the years, The Woodlands Community Church has grown to three locations and has a weekly attendance of over 18,000. The Shooks established The Woodlands Community Church because they wanted to help people experience Christ, instead of man’s creation of religion. They envisioned a place where people can grow strong in Christ and share their faith with the world. The Woodlands Community Church believes that the Bible is the Word of God and that the Lord loves the people unconditionally. Every person is unique and has a plan and a purpose in life.
