“Did you hear about the fire?” whispered a congregant, clutching her worn bible. We’re standing before the Iglesia de Dios Colombia, but its doors are closed today. You might be surprised to hear that this isn’t the original building. The Iglesia de Dios Colombia once stood proudly on Carrera 8. But fate, it seemed, had other plans. A devastating fire ripped through the church, leaving little but ashes and memories. Yet, from those ashes, a new spirit arose, much like the phoenix of legend. The congregation, undeterred, rallied together, their faith unshaken. They rebuilt their beloved church, brick by brick, right here on Carrera 1H. This building stands as a testament to their resilience, a beacon of hope, reaffirming that faith can overcome even the most fiery trials.
