It was established by Satguru Shri Shamsher Bahadur Saxena and his wife, Satguru Maa Mrs. Kanta Saxena. Their devotion to Santoshi Mata led to the creation of this sacred space. Originally, the temple housed three deities: Maa Vaishno, Maa Santoshi, and Maa Saraswati. Later, other deities like Shiv Parivar, Gaytri Mata, Sheetla Mata, and Chitragupta Maharaj were added. A remarkable feature of the Santoshi Mata Mandir is the presence of Asia’s largest Ashtadhatu idol of the goddess. This magnificent idol, made of nine precious metals, is a testament to the devotion of the temple’s founders and devotees. The temple attracts numerous devotees, especially on Fridays. Friday is considered an auspicious day for worshipping Santoshi Mata. Devotees often observe a fast for 16 consecutive Fridays to seek the goddess’s blessings for peace and prosperity. The temple’s tranquil atmosphere offers a serene environment for meditation and prayer. The temple buzzes with activity during festivals and special occasions.
