A small Bible study group of eight people gathered there. They dreamed of a vibrant Filipino ministry in New England. Their first service was held two months later. It marked the launch of the Massachusetts Bible Fellowship. This fellowship would evolve into the Philippine International Church we know today.
The early years were a journey of growth and relocation. The church moved several times finding temporary homes in various Boston area churches. They held evangelistic meetings. They organized community events like the Unity in Diversity rallies at Boston Common. These events helped to build bridges with other local churches and the wider community. They even marched in Boston Against Drugs and participated in the March for Jesus.
